How to Remove the Pink When Red Clothes Dye White Fabrics
You can restore white items that picked up a pink color from red clothing, if they are bleachable, by adding Clorox® Bleach or Clorox® Scented Bleach in the wash.
In the Washing Machine:
-
AddAdd 1/2 cup (125 ml) of Clorox® Bleach or Clorox® Scented Bleach into your washing machine.
-
WashWash as usual with your favorite detergent.
For best results, wash at 40°C. Remember to always check the fabric care label. If in doubt about whether you can use bleach on your item, you can do a quick bleachability test. Dilute 2 tablespoons of Clorox® Bleach or Clorox® Scented Bleach in 1/2 cup of water. Apply 1 drop of this solution on a hidden part of the fabric. Wait 1 minute, then blot dry. If there is no color loss, you can safely bleach it.
